What is a Seiko mod?
A Seiko mod is a customized Seiko watch that has been modified by changing or upgrading various parts to achieve a unique design or functionality. The term "mod" is short for "modification," and it can involve replacing components like the dial, hands, bezel, crystal, or case.
Seiko watches are particularly popular for modding because they are well-made, affordable, and have a wide range of compatible aftermarket parts. This makes it easy to create a personalized timepiece that reflects your style, whether it’s a homage to a luxury watch, a completely original design, or a functional upgrade like improved lume or scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
How do you build your watches?
We build our custom Seiko watches by carefully disassembling the base model and replacing components like the dial, hands, bezel, crystal, and more with high-quality aftermarket parts. Each modification is done with precision tools to ensure everything is perfectly aligned and functional. Once the watch is reassembled, we test it thoroughly for accuracy, durability, and water resistance (if applicable) before delivering it to you. Every step is handled with care to create a unique, high-quality timepiece tailored to your vision.
Does it come with a "seiko" logo?
"Our watches do not come with the Seiko logo as standard. However, if you'd like to include it, you can request this by adding a note in the 'Message' or 'Extras' section during checkout. Feel free to let us know, and we’ll be happy to accommodate your request!"
What movements do you use?
We use a variety of reliable movements based on the style and functionality of the watch you want:
NH34: For GMT watches.
NH35: For watches with a standard date complication.
NH36: For watches with both day and date complications.
NH70, NH71, NH72: For skeleton or open-dial designs.
NH38: For open-heart designs.
NH05: For ladies' watches with a date complication, like a Datejust style.
NH06: For ladies' watches with both day and date complications.
VK63: For all chronograph models.
Each movement is carefully installed and tested to ensure accuracy and reliability in your custom build.
